The Howland Chamber Music Circle (HCMC) continues its 2024-2025 chamber series with the pianist superstar Emanuel Ax at the Howland Cultural Center on Tuesday, October 1 at 7 pm. Following the concert, audience members can meet the musician and enjoy complimentary refreshments. All ticket holders are invited to the reception. To purchase a ticket, visit howlandmusic.org. One of the greatest pianists of the 20th and 21st centuries, Emanuel Ax is a noted soloist, having performed in all the world’s most celebrated concert halls, and with all the world’s most treasured orchestras. He is also well known as a chamber musician currently in duets with cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and previously in a quartet with Ma and violinists Isaac Stern and Young Uck Kim. 

Emanuel Ax has won 7 Grammy Awards for both his recordings as a soloist, and his chamber music work. At HCMC he will play an innovative program of Beethoven Sonatas, paired with works by Robert Schumann.

HCMC now offers a ticket pricing structure to include music lovers who may have been unable to afford our tickets in the past. A limited number of tickets will be available on a pay-what-you-wish basis. These tickets will be released one week prior to each concert. While the concert is sold out of tickets at the conventional price, pay-what-you-wish tickets will still be available one week prior to this concert.
