On June 10 at approximately 12:55 p.m. members of the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) were patrolling South Street in the city of Newburgh when they observed a 2005 gray Honda Pilot in violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Troopers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Aden Albino, age 19, from Newburgh and his passenger as Yael Garcia, age 20, also from Newburgh. While speaking with Albino and Garcia, troopers observed an open can of beer in the vehicle. Troopers searched the vehicle and located a hidden compartment and a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 Ghost Gun with ammunition under the passenger seat of the vehicle. K-9 Kell did a search of the vehicle and located approximately 1 gram of LSD and approximately 562 grams of cannabis. A search of the center console trap revealed four AR-15 full auto switches.

Albino and Garcia were both charged with: Criminal Possession Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession Firearm, Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd degree: Ammunition Feeding Device, Criminal Possession Rapid Fire Modification Device (AR-15 full auto switches) - 4 Counts), Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 7th degree and Unlawful Possession Cannabis.

They were arraigned at the Orange County Central Arraignment and then remanded to Orange County Jail.
