‘Fundamentally transforming the United States of America’

In June of 2008 Senator Obama spoke to a congregation in Chicago’s largest black church saying, “Too many fathers are M.I.A., too many fathers are AWOL, missing from too many lives and too many homes. They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it.”  Twelve years later in September 2020 after criticism by a former NFL lineman, Marcellus Wiley, the BLM movement removed from their “What We Believe” page content advocating the disruption of the “Western nuclear family”.  Why would the BLM movement not support what America’s first black President called for?

Later that year in October 2008 prior to the Presidential Election then Senator Obama said, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America”. Is this the transformation he envisioned?  His then Vice-president Joe Biden has now ascended to the Presidency and one has to wonder if this is not a continuation of the transformation.

In 2021 our Customs and Border Protection Agency reports over 188,000 immigrants have entered our southern border in June, bringing the total for 2021 to over a million, not counting the almost 40,000 “gotaways” last month. “Gotaways” are the immigrants who evaded capture by the CBP officials, probably because of their less than legal intentions.

It’s a deplorable state of affairs when our 5th estate, the “free” press overwhelmingly ignore the invasion that will directly impact all citizens with more costs, crime and societal upheaval.
