Retirees of the New Paltz Community invite retired men and women everywhere to the monthly breakfast meeting of Monday, August 7, 8 a.m., at the New Paltz Plaza Diner.

Local resident Harvey Monder has worked in a dozen different careers, including tax collector, bus driver, federal investigator, animal caretaker, professor, statistician, computer programmer and pharmacokineticist. These jobs have provided Harvey with some interesting anecdotes in juxtaposition with events such as the AIDS epidemic, industrial pollution, voter rights and the oxycodone tragedy.
