Painting Class for Adults in Marbletown

Learn to paint in watercolor, acrylics or oils! Local Artist Mira Fink will be teaching a Painting Class for adults at the artist's studio which is located between Hurley and Stone Ridge, N.Y. The class will be held Fridays, Jan. 10, 17, 24, Jan. 31, Feb. 7 & 21 (with snow dates Feb. 28 & Mar. 6) from 9:30am – 12:30pm. Register in advance by calling (845) 338-6503. $150./6 classes

Learn basic painting techniques or continue advancing your skills in a fun and supportive environment. Some topics we will cover include: choosing a painting subject, drawing for painting, composition, brushwork, color mixing, creating color harmony and more. Work from your own photographs or from a still life. Bring your own materials. A suggested material list will be provided upon registration. Appropriate for absolute beginners to intermediate level painters. Note: Oil painters – no turpentine solvents/ mineral spirits can be used in the studio. Space is limited.

About the Instructor: Mira Fink is an accomplished artist and certified art teacher. She has exhibited her paintings locally and nationally in solo and juried shows for the last 30 years. She has a BFA in painting from SUNY New Paltz and studied painting at the Woodstock School of Art, and has a Masters in Education. Mira Fink also has taught art at Mill Street Loft’s Dutchess Arts Camp, The Art Society of Kingston, The Art School of Columbia County, The Town of Esopus Library, Woodland Ponds Senior Residence and in local schools.
