Pine Bush Harvest festival is Saturday

The Pine Bush Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come stroll along Main Street, shop from local vendors, grab some food, check out our town’s organizations, and socialize with friends and neighbors—perfect for a family outing!

National Night Out Against Crime has been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Town of Crawford Town Park. Meet the Crawford Police Department and explore local businesses and vendors who are there to show their support.

Mark your calendars for the next First Friday, happening on October 4. Take a walk down Main Street and explore the local shops and vendors.

Our community thrives on simple acts of kindness. If you’re interested in giving back, consider joining the Friendly Visitor Program. Volunteers are matched with residents who need help to remain in their homes. For more details or to sign up, call 845-744-2029.

The Pine Bush Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host a Paint N Sip on Saturday, November 9, from 1 to 4 p.m. No experience necessary! Reservations are required by October 18. For more info, contact Marie at 845-361-2836.

Upcoming school events: The next Board of Education meeting will be on Tuesday, September 24, at Circleville Middle School, and on Tuesday, October 8, at Pine Bush High School. The Pine Bush School District will be closed on Thursday, October 3, in observance of Rosh Hashanah, and on Monday, October 14, for Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day. There will be an Early Dismissal Drill on Friday, October 11; all schools will release students 15 minutes early.


The Pine Bush Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary is looking for new members. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Interested? Stop by and join us!

The Pine Bush Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps needs new members. To volunteer, call 744-5391—you never know when you might need them!

Library news: September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! Come get your card and gain access to free downloads, databases like Consumer Reports, and the ability to borrow books, DVDs, and more. During the month, we are also hosting a plant sale and exchange, so if you need to thin out your garden, bring your extra plants to the library. Upcoming programs include children’s story times on Mondays for toddlers and Wednesdays for preschoolers. Please call ahead to reserve your spot. On Thursday, September 19, join Bill and Sue Wyant for “Experiencing Energy” at 1 p.m., and Chair Yoga begins Friday, October 4, at 10:30 a.m. Call (845) 744-4265 for more details or to register.
