Safe School Ambassador program returns to Marlboro Middle School

Posted
The Safe School Ambassador program has returned to Marlboro Middle School. Developed by California-based nonprofit Community Matters and adapted for local schools by the Orange County Youth Bureau, this leadership program empowers socially influential students to prevent bullying and mistreatment.

A new group of student leaders, handpicked by their teachers, recently participated in a day-long interactive training session where they learned how to resolve conflicts, defuse incidents, and support isolated students.

They later joined last year’s ambassadors to practice teamwork. Over the coming weeks, the group will meet with adult mentors to strengthen their skills, analyze intervention methods, and sustain their commitment to creating a safe and welcoming school environment.
