Interfaith Prayers offered on International Day of Forests
March 21 is International Day of Forests, established by resolution of the United Nations General Assembly. Among the many benefits of forests, spending time among trees can have an important impact on physical, mental and spiritual health. Forests reduce stress, improve mood and inspire us. For millennia, spiritual pilgrims of all faiths have retreated to forests for prayer, contemplation, and meditation.

The Walden Interfaith Clergy group is hosting an interfaith prayer and meditation on the spiritual blessings to be found in forests. The group will meet at noon at the Tsechen Kunchab Ling Wetland Wildlife Sanctuary, located at 12 Edmunds Lane, Walden, across the street from the temple. Enter around the corner on Penny Lane, near the entrance to James Olley Park.
