Candle vigil remembers Danny Meyer

Town of Montgomery Supervisor Brian Maher reminded residents today that a candlelit vigil will be held this Sunday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. Join members of the Meyer family along with local officials and area residents at “Danny Meyer Memorial Playground” located in the Village of Maybrook – 11 Schipps Lane – Maybrook.
“The purpose of this vigil is to remember and celebrate Danny’s life while also continuing to grow support for our online petition urging the NYS Parole Board to keep Danny’s killer in prison,” said Supervisor Brian Maher. “We are thankful for the more than 4,100 individuals that have signed our online petition and to those that have written individual letters to the Parole Board. After the NYS Parole Board recently released the killer of a 16-year-old girl, it is more important than ever to ensure that they hear us and understand the devastating impact that the release of this murderer would have on our community, which has been haunted by this tragic event for decades.”
