Crawford to hold hearing on changes to Bullville zoning district

Posted

The Town of Crawford will hold a public hearing on November 16 at 7 p.m. in its town hall regarding a proposed local law that, if approved, would amend designated lots in Bullville’s business park zoning district and add hotels and restaurants to the town’s special use permits for its office-residence zoning districts. Residents will be allowed to voice their questions and comments during the meeting.

This law is one part of the town’s comprehensive plan to renovate commercial development in Bullville. Charles Carnes, town supervisor of Crawford, explained that the board seeks to convert four office-residence lots along Route 17K to business park zoning districts; this would make it easier for business owners to use these lots. On the town’s tax map, these lots are 26-8-1, 26-8-2, 26-9-1, and 26-9-2.

Carnes also prefaced that the board seeks to add small lodging services to Bullville, not large-scale projects.

“We’re looking to get more restaurants, boutique hotels, and bed-and-breakfast inns in Bullville,” he said.

To view the law in its entirety, visit the town hall at 121 NY-302, Pine Bush.
