Local K of C raises funds for area charities

I want to take this occasion to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, Peaceful New Year. Keep your emails coming for your organization’s events, birthdays etc.

We are blessed to live in a community with so many outstanding organizations. The Knights of Columbus was founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity. Council 9254 carries out those goals everyday. They work to raise money all year and then give it all to local charities in need. At the end of each year, the Council only holds enough money to run the council and donates the rest to local charities.

Donations totaling $13,500 were made to MPB Parish; Montgomery Food Pantry; Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry; Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan & Ulster; Walden Village Parks & Recreation; St. Christopher’s Inn; Hospice of Orange & Sullivan; Good Council Homes of HV; Habitat for Humanity-Newburgh, N.Y.; Special Olympics/Polar Plunge; Keep Christ in Christmas Magnet Program; Coats for Kids Program; Hudson Valley Honor Flight; Fr, Anthony (Support of Priesthood’s Foreign Programs) and Fraternal Support/Brother Knight in Need.
