The Walden Fire Department responded to a serious rollover vehicle incident on Lake Osiris Road, Friday near Tassielli Drive, where the vehicle came to rest overturned on its roof.

Town of Montgomery Police, Montgomery EMS and New York State Police were present at the scene. Firefighters requested Coldenham Fire Department assistance as the driver was trapped inside the vehicle. They secured the vehicle to the side of a Coldenham engine and used two ropes to stabilize it.

Orange Lake FD was asked to establish a landing zone at the K&H Corrugated parking lot. Firefighters, EMS personnel and police worked together to extricate the driver from the vehicle and transport the driver up the hill to EMS, who then conveyed the individual to the Landing Zone for airlifting by Air Two to Westchester Medical Center.

The road was closed during the incident, and Town Montgomery Police are conducting an investigation into the cause. Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-12 was present at the scene.
