The Valley Central Varsity CheerTeam was excited to bring back the youth cheer camp to the VCYF&C program.   Coach Trish Stolz pushed to get this started again due to the importance of instilling a fine understanding of the fundamentals in the sport of Cheerleading.  Safety was at the heart of the instruction.  The athletes worked on Skills in Stunting, Jumps, Cheers and Dance.    Fun and Focus went hand in hand as they played games for prizes, had team bonding discussions and really connected over their passion for the sport.  “We’ll be watching them cheer on their football teams this Fall!  And we’ll be looking for them in the stands at our home games!”  said Coach Trish.  “Being involved with our youth is essential and a win, win for all.  The coaches at the higher levels will eventually benefit from staying connected to our youth programs.  I am always available to any youth coach.”
