Village Easter Egg Hunt is March 16

Bring your appetite to a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser for Troop 386 on March 9 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. It will be held at the Brick Reformed Church 1582 Rt. 17K, Montgomery. Have you all seen the Gnomes? They are appearing everywhere from outdoor to indoor decor. Now you have your chance to create your own gnome. The Valley Central Middle School PTA will hold a fundraiser with Sheri’s Country Decor leading you all in a Paint & Sip. Paint your own 12” hello spring gnome on Friday March 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $45. It will be held at the Walden Fire Dept. Social Hall.

St. Patrick’s Day happenings are approaching and congratulations are in order for Darlene Andolsek who will be the 2024 St. Pat’s Ramble Grand Marshal. There will be a Mass on Sunday March 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Assumption Church in Montgomery. Then a reception is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Ward’s Bridge Inn at 135 Ward St., Montgomery. Tickets are available at $40 each for the reception and there will be a cash bar.

March brings leprechauns and the Easter bunny too. The Village of Montgomery will be holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday March 16 at 11 a.m. sharp at Veterans Memorial Park, 36 Bridge St.

From the Montgomery Senior Center: Chair Yoga time change for Thursday mornings: now at 10:15 a.m.

On Thursday March 7 at 1 p.m. the Orange County District Attorneys Office Senior Fraud Prevention and VA Benefit Presentation will be held. Montgomery Senior Center Bowling League will meet every Tuesday at Tarsio Lanes, Newburgh. Cost is $1 a game plus shoe rental. This starts on Tuesday March 12.
There will be a Valley Central High School Grease Production Teaser. Thursday March 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Center.

Two hour NYC lunch sightseeing Cruise Thursday July 18, 2024. Cost is $90 per person. Bus will leave Montgomery Senior Center at 9:30 a.m. Priority will be given to Montgomery Residents. Trip will be open for all after March 5. For additional details please call 845-457-9367.

On March 8 and March 22 come to The Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church Hall and enjoy a delicious dinner hosted by the Knight of Columbus #2270. It is from 5 to 7 p.m.

A Good Friday Blood Drive will take place on March 29 at the Hall from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Love corned beef and cabbage but hate the mess? Come to a Parish fundraising St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Saturday March 16 at 5 p.m. Tickets may be purchased after Mass in the Hall or contact the Religious Education office at 845-457-1738 and must be purchased in advance. Adults are $30, seniors are $25 and children 6-11 are $10.
