Vision of Wallkill is hosting a Plein Air session at the Shawangunk Reformed Church on Hoagerburgh Road in Wallkill on Saturday, July 17 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. We ask any artist who would like to participate to agree to donate one picture for a Silent Auction in September. The 2021 Weekend of Wallkill will kick-off with a Photography and Art Show and Contest on September 17 and 18. Vision of Wallkill is calling all talented artists in Wallkill and surrounding area to showcase their interpretation of this year’s theme by creating an original artwork of various media, including photography, drawings, paintings, or craft art (ex. collages, tile work). This year’s theme is “Makin’ Me Happy: Things that Make Us Smile”. The contest is open to all ages with a fee of $5 per art entry. Artists may submit more than one artwork (minimum 8” x 10” size).
All art entries for the “Beauty of Wallkill Art Contest” must be submitted by September 13, 2021 to the Wallkill Public Library or the Town Clerk’s Office along with payment. Contact Julie (845) 895-2783 for additional rules and information.
