Wallkill sweeps Lourdes in cross country

The Wallkill boys’ and girls’ cross country teams swept Our Lady of Lourdes in Wednesday’s dual meets at Wallkill High School.
 
The boys won their race 17-37 and the girls posted a 23-34 win.
 
Nathaniel Diemoz won the boys’ race with a time of 16:35.26, as the Panthers took the top four spots. Mario Verruto, Josh Craypo and Ryder Kilpatrick each took second through fourth place.
 
Luke Fragetta finished seventh to score for the Panthers. Graham Driskill and JoAeo Santos also scored for the Panthers with 16th and 17th-place finishes. 
 
Joseph Nuzzo finished fifth to take the top spot for Our Lady of Lourdes.
 
Emma DiLemme won the girls’ race with a time of 19:34.81, as the Panthers took four of the top five spots. Emma Haughian and Caitlyn Murphy finished second and third and Maria Morales was fifth. Giada Post finished 13th and Mikayla D’Amico was 18th to score for the Panthers.
Grace Gilroy finished fourth, taking the top spot for Our Lady of Lourdes.
