The fifth annual charity event and legacy ride, in honor of Lia Berardinelli, took place on Sept. 21. The foundation, Lia’s Life Legacy, was started to help other grieving families, as well as local organizations such as Love from Heaven, Step by Step Dance Studio, and the Upper Room. Berardinelli died in 2019 at the age of 13 from a congenital heart defect. An annual hour-long ride takes motorcyclists through Blooming Grove, Washingtonville, and New Windsor toward Woodlawn Cemetery, where Berardinelli is buried, then back to Mountainville.
