The Cornwall Athletics season is now over … but that’s okay, because the local team is the champions of the Hudson Valley League of the National Adult Baseball Association! They beat the Newburgh Tigers 5-4 on September 22 at Heritage Financial Park (Dutchess Stadium) after getting to that game by beating the Southern Dutchess Padres the week prior, 20-1 after the league’s ‘mercy rule’ kicked in.
